The Best Florida Beaches

A Florida beach vacation is recommended as beaches in Florida are amongst the finest in the world with their beautiful white sand and chrystal clear blue waters. After the hectic theme parks a beach vacation offers peace and tranquility. Plan your beach vacation at the Gulf of Mexico on the West Coast or the Atlantic Ocean beaches on the East coast. Keep an eye on the water while sunbathing and you are almost definately assured to see dolphins playing, manta rays lazily passing by or a hungry pelican swooping down to catch an unsuspecting fish in the warm water. Beautiful beaches on the west coast include St.Pete's Beach, Clearwater, Sanibel (for seashell collectors) and Marco Island. Popular east coast beaches include Cocoa Beach, Daytona, Fort Lauderdale and New Smyrna Beach.

The beaches on the West Coast of Florida tend to have warmer, calmer water with fine white beach sand while those on the East have cooler water, more a beige colour sand than white and waves that are ideal for surfers in Florida. Many visitors to Florida prefer to spend a week at the theme parks and have their second week relaxing on one of the many stunning beaches
