Florida Accommodation

Accommodation in Florida is relatively inexpensive and there are plenty options to choose from.

Hotel / Motel
With most hotels or motels the rooms will be pretty similair from one to the other depending on the price paid. It is best to try to find a hotel or motel that offers a complimentary breakfast, as over the duration of your vacation this is quite a big saving. Some offer a complimentary continental breakfast but this usually consists of coffee and a sticky bun, not the usuall expectation of a continental breakfast.
I have stayed in the Comfort Suites, Maingate quite a few times and find it to be inexpensive, clean but basic and they had an excellent buffet breakfast on offer consisting of prunes, cereal, toast, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The breakfast may have changed since I stayed there last so best to check

Villa
Villas are excellent value for money if there are a few families or friends sharing. As an ex villa owner myself I know that British owners tend to be a bit cheaper to rent from as they state a price and that is the full price charged whereas U.S owners always charge sales tax on top of the quoted price. A 3 bedroom villa with private pool can cost as little as $300 per week. Pool heating usually carries an extra charge of around $100 per week and it is recommended in the winter months.

Condo
If you can manage without your own private swimming pool during your vacation a condo could well suit your needs and cost a lot less.
